Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is framed by three guiding principles:

  1. Students arrive with diverse backgrounds learning styles

  2. Challenging material coupled with appropriate supports promotes learning and growth

  3. Opportunities for individual exploration spark interest and enjoyment.

Following these principles, I strive to design my courses to facilitate learning for every student, to generate and maintain interest in economics, and to create a classroom environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their abilities.
